Gustavo Olivera FACHE, CPHQ, CLSSGB, Health MBA, Phys. PhD has a long and distinguished career in healthcare. In 2022, they began working as a Senior Business Consultant for ZAP Surgical Systems, Inc. Prior to that, they were Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and acting Chief Operating Officer (COO) for 21st Century Oncology from 2011 to 2022, where they reported to the CEO and led a $160M group of divisions with 1000 physicians and 298 locations in the U.S. In 2010, they were CTO for CPAC. From 1997 to 2011, they were VP Research and Development for TomoTherapy. From 2005 to 2011, they were a permanent member of the radiation therapeutics and biology study section for The National Institutes of Health. From 1997 to 2011, they were an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Gustavo Olivera has an extensive educational background. Gustavo obtained a Master of Business Administration - MBA in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the Jack Welch Management Institute in 2021. In 2018, they completed a course in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for business strategy from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Gustavo also obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Atomic Physics from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario in 1995. In 1991, they obtained a Master in Physics from the same university.
