Ideon van Niekerk

Ideon van Niekerk has held various roles in the software engineering industry since 2013. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Senior Java Developer and Oracle Practitioner at Britehouse. During this time, they were responsible for JAVA Development, PL/SQL Development, Oracle ADF Development, PHP Development, Oracle SOA Integration with EBS, OTM and ECM, and Fusion financial cloud service integration. In 2014, they also began working as a Freelance Web Developer. From 2018 to 2021, they were a Software Engineer Team Lead and Senior Software Engineer at takealot.com, where they were responsible for mentorship, helping team members grow, and designing solutions. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Software Engineer at Freelance | Self Employed. Currently, they are a Director of Engineering at Zenysis Technologies, where they are responsible for managing the engineering team, full stack contributions, and platform infrastructure setup and maintenance.

Ideon van Niekerk attended Heriot-Watt University from 2013 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Ideon also attended CTI Education Group from 2013 to 2013, where they obtained a Diploma in Information System Software Development (ISSD). Prior to that, Ideon attended High School Brits from 2009 to 2012, where they obtained a Matric. Ideon also attended Merensky H/S, Brits H/S from 2008 to 2009, where they obtained a Grade 8. In addition, Ideon has obtained various certifications from institutions such as Coursera, Udemy, and Oracle.
