Dr. Darren Death

Dr. Darren Death has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and information security. Dr. Darren has served as the Vice President of Information Security and Chief Information Security Officer at ASRC Federal since 2015. In this role, they are responsible for managing the cybersecurity program across various business sectors, supporting business development activities, and marketing the company's cybersecurity successes.

Additionally, Dr. Death has held advisory and leadership roles in organizations such as ICIT, Cybersecurity Association of Maryland, Inc. (CAMI), EC-Council, American Council for Technology - Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC), Institute of World Politics, Evanta (a Gartner Company), and InfraGardMD. Their responsibilities in these positions include sharing expertise through thought leadership engagements, providing guidance on growth areas, and representing the organizations' interests in influential communities.

Furthermore, Dr. Death has authored a book on information security and has experience working as the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer for Governance, Risk, and Compliance at FEMA.

Dr. Darren Death completed their education at various institutions. Dr. Darren obtained a Doctor of Information Technology (DIT) degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from Capella University in 2020. Prior to that, they received a Master's degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University in 2018. In 2005, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Strayer University. Additionally, Dr. Death has several certifications in the field of cybersecurity, including certifications from organizations such as ISACA, (ISC)², EC-Council, and SANS Institute.
