Abdul Jabar Majid

Abdul Jabar Majid has been a member of the Sharia Supervisory Board of Maybank Indonesia since March 20, 2003 and was reappointed several times, the last of which was reappointed through the AGMS of Maybank Indonesia on April 6, 2018. He is a member of the Integrated Governance Committee of Maybank Indonesia.

Currently he has concurrent positions as Member of DPS at PT Wahana Ottomitra Multiartha Tbk (WOM Finance). His career has been filled with teaching activities and currently teaches at the Attaqwa Islamic High School and the Postgraduate Program at 45 Islamic University, Bekasi.

He has several degrees in Islamic Studies, namely Tarbiyah Islamic Education from the Sulthan Syaarif Qasim State Islamic Institute, Riau (1975), Bachelor of Usuluddin Da'wah from Al-Azhar University, Cairo (1979), Master of Islamic Education from the Institute of Islamic Studies, Cairo (1991) and Doctoral Degree in Islamic Studies from Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University, Jakarta (2007). Has competence as a Sharia Capital Market Expert from The Indonesia Capital Market Institute and OJK (2016).
