Kevin Mitchell

Kevin Mitchell is vice president of Global Technical Operations for Boeing Global Services. The Global Technical Operations function provides global support to Global Services’ defense and commercial customers across Boeing product lines, as well as non-Boeing platforms. In this role, Mitchell is responsible for teams supporting global field operations at forward base deployments with customers, aircraft modifications, and operations at Boeing’s maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities.

During his 33-plus years of aerospace experience, Mitchell has worked with the Department of Defense, NASA and commercial programs. He has an extensive background in all aspects of operations, including global supply chain management, manufacturing and production operations.

Before rejoining Boeing in 2021, he served as sector vice president of Global Supply Chain and sector vice president of Global Operations at Northrop Grumman, where he was responsible for leading and executing all global operations for more than 7,000 functional employees and numerous sites across the country, including overseeing all initiatives of manufacturing (process improvements, execution strategies, and quality and on-time delivery performance). Mitchell, a U.S. Army veteran, also previously spent 15 years (1988-2003) with Boeing, including serving as an operations director in Long Beach, Calif.

He holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s in business administration from the University of Phoenix, as well as a master’s from the University of Southern California in global supply chain management. Additionally, Mitchell has completed the following executive programs: Global Supply Chain Management Strategies from Stanford University; Creating Corporate Advantage from Harvard University; and Aerospace Manufacturing from the University of Washington. He also earned a Six Sigma Green Belt certificate from UCLA.

An active member of the community, Mitchell works with the boards of multiple organizations: California Chamber of Commerce; University of South California Marshall Center for Global Supply Chain Management; Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce; University of San Diego Supply Chain Management Institute; El Segundo Board of Education; Antelope Valley Chamber of Commerce; and Boys & Girls Club, Santa Clarita, Calif.
