Andrea Risotto

Andrea Risotto has extensive work experience in communications and strategic initiatives. Andrea started their career at the U.S. Department of Education, implementing communications and outreach efforts for national education policies and later serving as Deputy Director of the Teacher-to-Teacher Initiative. Andrea then moved on to the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs, where they led communications for Mayor Bloomberg's Office of Financial Empowerment. Andrea then joined the U.S. Department of the Treasury as a spokesperson for the government's response to the housing and foreclosure crisis during the Great Recession. Andrea was recognized with the Secretary's Honor Award for their work in this role. Andrea later joined The Pew Charitable Trusts as a communications lead for the Global Ocean Legacy campaign, supporting the protection of millions of square kilometers of ocean. Afterward, they became the Head of Communications for the NDC Partnership, a global coalition working to achieve climate and development goals. Most recently, Andrea served as the Chief Communications Officer at The Brookings Institution, overseeing strategic communications initiatives and managing a high-performing communications department.

Andrea Risotto has a Master's degree in Latin American Studies from American University. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The exact start and end years of these educational pursuits are not provided.
