Kristin Russell

Public Health Educator at BROOME COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT

Kristin Russell started their work experience as a Medical Staff Supervisor for Gavin Park Summer Camp at the Town of Wilton Recreation Department in 2013. Kristin later became a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor at the Saratoga Regional YMCA from 2012 to 2018. In 2017, they held several intern positions at the Tioga County Public Health Department, Southern Tier AIDS Program, Inc., and Prevention Council of Saratoga. Kristin also worked as an Outreach Associate at the Prevention Council of Saratoga and as a Service Department Lead at The Home Depot in 2017. In 2018, they were a Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist at Lourdes Hospital. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Public Health Representative at the Broome County Health Department. Currently, they hold the position of Public Health Educator at the Broome County Health Department since May 2021.

Kristin Russell obtained a Certificate in Public Health from the University at Albany School of Public Health from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Community Health from the State University of New York College at Potsdam, which they completed from 2014 to 2017. Presently, Kristin is pursuing a Master of Public Health - MPH at the University at Albany, SUNY, starting in 2021. Kristin also holds a certification in CPR and First Aid from the American Red Cross.
