Sophie Bakker

Sophie Bakker's work experience includes a role as a Product Developer - Circular Knits at Esprit starting in July 2023. Prior to this, they worked at BYBORRE, where they held various positions including Knitlab Operations Lead, responsible for managing the operations team and increasing efficiency in the Knit lab. Sophie also served as a Project Manager Knitlab, coordinating the delivery of innovative and sustainable products to international clients. Additionally, Sophie worked as a Graduate Trainee/Project Management Intern at BYBORRE, assisting the Project Manager with creating schedules and deadlines for projects. Sophie also gained experience as a Student Assistant Atelier at Hogeschool Saxion and had freelance design and product development roles at AMATØR, where they were responsible for technical drawings and developing line sheets.

Sophie Bakker completed their education with a Master of Science degree in Innovative Textile Development from Saxion University of Applied Sciences from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion and Management from Amsterdam Fashion Institute between 2013 and 2017. Sophie's educational journey started at Don Bosco College Volendam from 2008 to 2013, where they pursued higher general secondary education (Havo).
