Vera Carley

Vera Carley has extensive experience in communications and public relations. Vera is currently the Head of Communications at Earthrise Energy since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at GridLiance as a Manager of Communications from April 2018 to January 2022. Before GridLiance, they were a Senior Lead Communications Specialist at Entergy from December 2017 to April 2018. Vera also has experience as a freelance Public Relations Consultant from January 2017 to December 2017. From 2010 to 2016, they held various roles at Assurant, including Assistant Vice President of External Communication and Director of Media Relations and Financial Communications. Earlier in their career, Vera worked at Covanta Energy as a Director of Media Relations and Corporate Communications from October 2008 to April 2010 and as a Manager of Media Relations and Corporate Communications from September 2007 to October 2008.

Vera Carley holds a Master's Degree in Strategic Communications from Columbia University and a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Journalism from Rutgers University. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications including a Crisis Communication Graduate Certificate from Scripps College of Communication in 2021, a Content Marketing Institute certification in 2017, and a Social Media Marketing Certificate from Rutgers Business School Executive Education.
