Carter Rees

Carter Rees, PhD, has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Carter is currently the Head of Machine Learning at Entrata, where they utilize their extensive machine learning expertise to develop innovative products for the multifamily housing industry. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Analytics & Data Science at Podium, leading a team of professionals and leveraging data to increase enterprise value. Carter also worked as the Sr. Manager of Advanced Analytics & Research at Qualtrics, providing statistical solutions to clients. Carter has held various roles in data science and research, including positions at DigiCert, Inc. and Domo, Inc., where they developed data-driven solutions using machine learning techniques. Carter has also worked as an Assistant Professor at Brigham Young University and Arizona State University, where they taught quantitative research methods and conducted research on social influence and adolescent behavior. Additionally, Carter served as the Director of Research Development at the Wyoming Survey & Analysis Center, conducting social policy research and providing assistance to grant-funded community programs. Carter Rees, PhD, completed a BA in History at Dakota Wesleyan University from 1993 to 1998. Carter then pursued an MA in Political Science/Quantitative Methodology at the University of Wyoming, completing in 2002. Finally, they obtained a Ph.D. in Criminology/Quantitative Methodology from the University at Albany, SUNY, from 2005 to 2011.
