Ayesha Delany-Brumsey

Ayesha Delany-Brumsey has a diverse and extensive work experience. Ayesha started their career as a Graduate Student at UCLA in 2005 and continued until 2012. Then, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at UCSF/San Francisco VA Medical Center from August 2012 to July 2013. Later, Ayesha joined the Vera Institute of Justice, where they held multiple positions, including Research Associate from July 2013 to December 2014, Senior Research Associate from December 2014 to May 2016, and Director of the Substance Use and Mental Health Program from May 2016 to March 2017. After Vera, they joined the Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice as the Director of Behavioral Health Research and Programming from March 2017 to April 2019. Following that, they worked at The Council of State Governments Justice Center as the Behavioral Health Division Director from April 2019 to April 2023. Currently, Ayesha is serving as the Chief Strategic Growth Officer at Fountain House, starting from May 2023. Ayesha Delany-Brumsey completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology at the University of Maryland from 2001 to 2005. Ayesha then pursued higher education at UCLA, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology from 2005 to 2012.
