Hossain Yakub

Hossain Yakub has over 10 years of work experience in various accounting roles. Hossain is currently the Chief Accountant at HeartShare Human Services of New York. Previously, they served as the Controller/Director of Accounting at MBD Community Housing, where they reviewed daily bank transactions and payroll, as well as approved invoices for payment. Before that, they were the Assistant Controller at Bangla CDPAP Homecare Services, where they implemented accounting procedures and managed accounts receivable.

Hossain also worked as a Senior Accountant at Children Aid Society, supporting the Controller in financial management and developing policies for reconciling donations. Hossain was a Senior Staff Accountant at Service For The Underserved, where they improved reconciliation processes and managed cash accounts. Hossain started their career as a Staff Cost Accountant at E-J Electric Installation Co., where they performed bank reconciliations, prepared journal entries, and provided financial reports.

Prior to that, Hossain worked as an Assistant Accountant at Philip Food Services, processing accounts payable and receivable, as well as reconciling bank statements. Hossain also gained experience as a Junior Accountant at Friends Accounting & Tax Service and as a Trainee at www.tbcnyc.com. Earlier in their career, they served as a Compliance Officer and Head Teller at ATN CHECK CASHING, where they managed daily check transactions and ensured compliance.

Hossain Yakub earned a Bachelor of Business and Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting and Finance from North South University between 2006 and 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Higher Secondary Certificate in Business Studies at Dhaka Commerce College from 2003 to 2005. Hossain began their educational journey at Monipur High School, where they obtained their Secondary School Certificate in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from 2001 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, Hossain Yakub has also obtained certifications such as the Certificate of Tax Completion from Liberty Tax Services in 2014 and the Bookkeeping Certificate from TBCNYC (The Bookkeeping Company of New York City) in 2012.
