Francois Ricard

VP Global Research & Development at Hovione

Francois Ricard has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Francois is currently the VP Global Research & Development at Hovione. Prior to that, they worked at Debiopharm, where they held various roles including Global Head Pharmaceutical Development, R&D board member, Head CMC Development and Supply, and Director Drug Product Development. Before joining Debiopharm, they worked at GSK as the Head of Particle Sciences and Engineering, UK, and as the Director of Particle Generation, Control and Engineering.

Francois Ricard obtained an MEng in Chemical Engineering from Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Rouen in the years 1994 to 1999. Francois then pursued a PhD in Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London, completing it in 2005. Later, from 2008 to 2011, they attended The Open University and earned an MBA in Business and Technology management. Additionally, in 2022, they obtained the FT Non-Executive Director Diploma - Pearson SRF BTEC Level 7 Advanced Professional Diploma from the FT Board Director Programme.
