Principal Scientist at Ichor Life Sciences

Brandon S. Moyer, Ph.D. has over 12 years of experience in biochemistry and biophysics. From 2008 to 2012, they were a Research Assistant/Ph.D. Candidate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they received formal training in synthetic organic chemistry with a specialization in organometallic catalysis and method development. In 2009, they were a Research Intern at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. In 2011, they were a Fulbright Research Fellow at Philipps University of Marburg in Germany and a Research Intern in Chemical Process Development at BASF. Brandon S. also spent 2008 as a Summer Research Fellow at Juniata College, conducting inorganic research on the synthesis and characterization of first row d-block metal complexes with potential uses as catalysts.

In 2017, Moyer began working at Ichor Life Sciences, Inc., where they served as a Principal Scientist, Senior Research Scientist, Research Scientist II, and Research Scientist. Brandon S. was a team leader and client-facing project manager for various biochemistry and biophysics projects, specializing in assay R&D and data analysis, presentation, and client communication.

In 2020, Moyer joined Icaria Life Sciences: The Structure People as a Senior Scientist. In this role, they serve as a Senior Research Scientist and client-facing project manager for various biochemistry and biophysics projects, wearing many hats and having a dynamic day-to-day schedule of assay R&D on the bench, in addition to data analysis, presentation, and client communication.

Brandon S. Moyer, Ph.D. began their educational journey in 2003, when they graduated with a High School Diploma from York Catholic High School. Brandon S. then attended Juniata College from 2007 to 2011, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. In 2009 and 2010, they studied abroad at The Philipp University of Marburg in Chemistry. Brandon S. then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2012 to 2017, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry.
