Joost Wolters

Joost Wolters is an experienced chemistry professional currently serving as Team Leader for Chemistry & IP and Research Chemist at Ioniqa Technologies since January 2016. Wolters focuses on R&D projects aimed at optimizing and upscaling PET recycling processes, emphasizing improved additive capture and recovery through pilot-scale trials. Prior to this role, Wolters completed a PhD at Utrecht University from January 2011 to September 2015, researching the self-assembly of colloids with anisotropic shapes and interactions. Additional experience includes a research internship at Philips, working on nanowire FETs as sensors in liquid environments, and serving as a teaching assistant at Universiteit Utrecht for undergraduate chemistry courses. Wolters holds a Master of Science in Nanomaterials: Chemistry and Physics and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, both from Utrecht University.
