Tanya Gibson

VP, DEIB People + Culture at livingHR

Tanya Gibson has extensive work experience in the human resources field. Tanya is currently working as the VP of DEIB People + Culture at livingHR, Inc., a company that focuses on building culture, experiences, and talent for growing organizations. In this role, Tanya drives employee engagement and business results through a people-first approach.

Prior to their current position, Tanya served as the Chief People Officer at Funnel Leasing. Tanya was recruited by the CEO to establish the People Operations processes, policies, and procedures. Tanya introduced Standards of Practice and implemented revisions to the employee handbook, as well as spearheaded the migration to digital solutions.

Before joining Funnel Leasing, Tanya worked at Big Brothers Big Sisters of America in various HR roles. Tanya was promoted to the position of VP of Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion (JEDI) and HR, where they played a crucial role in elevating DE&I within the organization. Tanya also served as the Director of Human Resources, where they faced the challenge of adjusting HR leadership and improving the record-keeping process.

Tanya's career in HR started at Freedom Health, where they served as an HR Manager. Tanya provided leadership during a company acquisition and advised the CEO and CFO on people strategy.

Additionally, Tanya worked as a Comp and Benefits Specialist at Emerson Commercial & Residential Solutions. In this role, they designed compensation and benefits programs for the corporate headquarters and advised on salary adjustments.

Throughout their career, Tanya has demonstrated expertise in HR processes, DE&I initiatives, employee engagement, and talent management.

Tanya Gibson holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from the University of Florida. Tanya also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Saint Leo University. In addition to their formal education, Tanya has obtained several certifications. Tanya has a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education, which they received in May 2021. Furthermore, they have a Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI, which they obtained in July 2018.
