Dakota Smothergill

Dakota Smothergill has a diverse work experience in various roles. Starting in 2016, they worked as a Sales Associate at Reebok and a Package Handler at UPS. In 2017, they joined the Town of Brookhaven as a Crew Leader until 2019. During this time, they also worked as an Assistant Groundskeeper at Long Island Ducks Baseball and as part of the field operations crew at FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches. In 2020, Dakota joined the New York Mets Grounds Crew, and in 2021, they became the Head Groundskeeper at Long Island Ducks Baseball.

Dakota Smothergill obtained a Sports Turf Management Certification from The Ohio State University in 2019-2020. Previously, from 2017-2018, they attended Suffolk County Community College, where they pursued Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, without specifying a degree.
