Taru Aalto has had a long and varied career in the tech industry. Taru started their career at Nokia in 1999, where they held various roles including Global Head of Smartphones portfolio & sales support, Senior Manager of Global Product Portfolio & Consumer Strategy, and Manager of Brand partnerships & Business development. In 2012, they became COO and a member of the board at Globe Hope Oy, where they led the sales team and was responsible for international growth strategy and product offering. In 2014, they joined Jolla as Director of Sales & Partnerships, where they were responsible for sales channel development and new customer acquisition for both Jolla mobile and Sailfish OS. Taru then moved to Genano Ltd in 2016, where they were Sales Director and led an investigation into a new growth opportunity in Asia. Finally, in 2021, Taru joined Lumoa as VP of Channel Sales & Partner Offering, where they help organizations become more customer centric in all areas of their business.

Taru Aalto attended Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan from 1997 to 2001, where they earned a M.Sc in Industrial Engineering & Management with a focus on international project-oriented business. Taru also spent six months in 1999 as an exchange student at L'Universite de Technologie de Compiegne in France.
