Mirka Koskelin

Mirka Koskelin has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Mirka is currently working at Manna & Co as the Chief People & Culture Officer, where they are responsible for developing an organizational culture that aligns with the company's strategy and promotes employee well-being. Mirka also collaborates with leaders throughout the organization on people-related matters. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of People & Culture at the newly formed Manna group in Finland, where they established an organizational structure and work practices that support the evolving needs of the business.

Mirka also worked at Finlayson Oy as the Chief People & Culture Officer, where they focused on enhancing the company's values and culture while managing HR strategy and processes. Mirka also built partnerships to enable flexible resourcing and ensure the right skills for various needs. Before their role as an officer, they were an HR Manager at Finlayson Oy.

Mirka's earlier experiences include working as a Retail Learning and Development Manager at Specsavers Finland Oy, where they enhanced the training and development programs for retail employees. Mirka also worked as a Team Building Consultant and Facilitator, Sales and Marketing, Project Worker at SmoothTeam and Videotaikurit Oy, where they were involved in sales, marketing, and delivering gamified team building exercises and workshops. Mirka was also responsible for developing a new tool for entrepreneurs and micro-enterprises.

During their tenure at Hemtex Oy, Mirka held various positions, including HR Specialist, Regional Manager, Store Manager and Project Manager, and Regional Visual Merchandiser and Project Manager. As an HR Specialist, they had comprehensive responsibilities for personnel matters in Finland and Estonia, including HR planning, personnel development, and implementing HR processes. Mirka also served as a Regional Manager, supervising sales and profitability across multiple stores and managing recruitment and personnel development. As a Store Manager and Project Manager, they ensured the daily operations of the store and was involved in building new stores and training new managers. Additionally, as a Regional Visual Merchandiser and Project Manager, they focused on visual concepts in stores to drive sales through window and in-store displays and contributed to opening new stores and training staff and managers.

Mirka Koskelin completed their Master's Degree in Educational Sciences at the University of Helsinki from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Educational Sciences from the same institution spanning from 2000 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, Mirka also obtained additional certifications including being an Insights Discovery Client Practitioner from Insights in January 2019, and a Certified SmoothTeam facilitator from SmoothTeam in September 2017.
