Hassan El Chami

Hassan El Chami has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Hassan currently holds the position of Chief Technology Officer at Ooredoo Kuwait since April 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Technology Officer at MTN Nigeria from April 2016 to April 2019. In their previous role at MTN Group, they held the position of CTO from April 2011 to March 2016 and General Manager of Planning and Design from November 2008 to March 2011. Before joining MTN, they worked as a Senior Manager of Radio at MTN Iran from November 2006 to October 2008. Additionally, they held the role of Network Planning Manager at Siemens AG from January 2006 to October 2006. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Project Manager at Aircom International, managing a multimillion-dollar project in Pakistan from July 2004 to January 2006. Hassan began their career as a Planning and Optimization Engineer at Areeba from 1999 to 2003.

Hassan El Chami received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer and Communications Engineering from the American University of Beirut, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. Hassan also obtained a certification in "Selling with Empathy during Uncertain Times" from LinkedIn in 2021.
