Phillip Medina has four years of work experience. Phillip began in 2016 as a Product Innovation Intern at Sonic Drive-In. In 2017, they joined Kerry as a RD&A Food Scientist - Liquid Beverage & Nutrition and RD&A Associate Food Scientist - Liquid Beverage & Nutrition. In 2021, they moved to Ajinomoto Cambrooke, Inc. as a Product Development Scientist. Phillip currently works at NICKS as a Senior R&D Food Scientist since 2022.
Phillip Medina received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biochemistry from the University of Oklahoma in 2013. Phillip then went on to obtain a Master of Science (M.S.) in Food Science from Oklahoma State University in 2017. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including ALERT Food Defense Awareness from the FDA in 2017, FDA Regulations on Food Defense from the FDA in 2017, Food Defense Awareness for Food Professionals from the FDA in 2017, Safe Quality Foods (SQF) - Implementing SQF systems from the SQF Institute in 2017, Food Safety Preventive Controls for Human Food from the FSPCA in 2016, and HACCP in 2014.
