Derrick Neilson

Derrick Neilson is an experienced project engineer currently employed at Orbis Inc since August 2021, also having served as a junior logistics analyst. Prior to this, Derrick worked as a service technician at Trek Bicycle, focusing on bicycle maintenance and assembly. Derrick's experience includes a logistics internship at Branscome Inc., where responsibilities involved implementing a fleet monitoring system and coordinating trucking dispatches. Additionally, Derrick has contributed to Habitat for Humanity through donation processing and volunteer supervision, and worked at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University as an undergraduate fellow, training peers in CAD programs. Earlier roles include assisting in youth sports camps at Two Rivers Country Club. Derrick holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech.
