Lead Instrument Engineer (projects) at Perenco S.A.

Steve D. has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Steve began their career at Shell as an E&I Designer from September 1991 to December 1993. Steve then joined AMEC in February 1994 and worked as a Senior Instrument Engineer for over 18 years. In this role, they were involved in various projects and modifications on Shell platforms in the Southern North Sea, taking on both sole responsibilities and working as part of a team. Their duties included offshore site surveys, conceptual design reports, construction workpacks, vendor coordination, instrument specification, material ordering, and commissioning procedure writing. In 2008, they became the focal point for Instrumentation on the Shell Sole Pit & Carrack gas fields. In May 2012, they joined Perenco as a Lead Instrument Engineer (Projects), where they took on the responsibility of engineering all aspects of instrumentation and F&G for projects across all Perenco UK assets in the Southern North Sea. Steve also acted as the Instrument discipline focal point for projects designed by outside contract companies.

Steve D. attended Oriel Grammar School from 1979 to 1984. Steve then pursued further education at Lowestoft College from 1988 to 1990, where they studied HNC Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
