Ranga Makireddy

Ranga Makireddy has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Ranga currently holds the position of Vice President of Software Engineering at Progress, starting in January 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Director at the same company from September 2021 to January 2023. Before joining Progress, Ranga worked at HCL Technologies as the Deputy General Manager from January 2021 to August 2021. Ranga also held the position of Senior Solutions Architect at HCL Technologies from June 2016 to December 2020, where they were responsible for product engineering and delivery, as well as solution engineering for multiple customer engagements. Ranga served as the Director of Software Development at Citrus Payment Solutions Pvt. Ltd from November 2015 to June 2016. Prior to that, they were the Director of Software Engineering at Kaseya from April 2014 to November 2015, where they led the VSA product engineering team and focused on operational excellence. Ranga's career also includes a significant tenure at CA, Inc, where they held the position of Manager of Software Engineering from July 2004 to April 2014, managing product development activities and leading a team. Ranga began their career as a Software Engineer at HCL Technologies in January 2003 and later worked as a Software Engineer at InfoEdge Technologies from January 2000 to January 2003.

Ranga Makireddy completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode in 2012. Prior to that, Ranga obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronics and Communications from SJMIT Chitradurga, Kuvempu University, Karnataka, between 1996 and 2000. In 2011, Ranga also obtained a certification as an Agile ScrumMaster from Agile Scrum.
