RJ Mathis

Director of Program Management at RedShelf

RJ Mathis has worked in a variety of roles since 2000. RJ began their career as a Manager at Marcus Theatres, where they were responsible for overseeing daily operations and supervising onsite staff. In 2006, they joined DeVry Education as a Manager and Team Lead, where they were responsible for meeting 30 different deliverables for centralized services and leading a team of 12 Academic Advisors. In 2016, they moved to Keypath Education as an Associate Director of Student Success, where they served business partners as an expert in student support and retention practices. In 2017, they joined Western Governors University as Manager of Program Faculty, where they led a 15-member team of Program Mentors and worked with the WGU leadership team to understand and inform university policies and procedures. Most recently, in 2021, they joined RedShelf as Director of Program Management, where they are the primary operational point of accountability for partners related to the RedShelf agreement.

RJ Mathis received their MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University between 2006 and 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a BSBA in Human Resources from Northern Illinois University between 2002 and 2004. RJ also attended Addison Trail between 1996 and 1998, but did not receive a degree. In addition, Mathis has obtained four certifications: Igniting Emotional Engagement from LinkedIn in February 2021, Communicating with Empathy from LinkedIn in September 2020, Learn Emotional Intelligence, the Key Determiner of Success from LinkedIn in July 2020, and a Six Sigma Yellow Belt from Straight Line Performance Solutions, LLC. in June 2015.
