Deborah Idowu has a diverse work experience. Deborah started their career in 2014 as a Teaching Assistant at Peace Foundation International Group Of Schools. Deborah then transitioned to become a Hospitality Manager at HOUSE ON THE ROCK, where they had various responsibilities including welcoming new members and visitors and ensuring their comfort during church service. Deborah also assisted in providing relief materials during meetings, events, and outreaches. After that, they worked as a Human Resource Assistant at First mobile dental care for about two years. Their most recent work experience is as a Customer Support Analyst at SeamlessHR starting in 2023.

Deborah Idowu pursued a Bachelor of Education degree in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from the University of Lagos from 2016 to 2021. Previously, they obtained a National diploma in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, which they completed between 2012 and 2014.

In addition to their academic accomplishments, Deborah Idowu has obtained several certifications. In October 2021, they completed the Jobberman Soft Skill Training provided by Jobberman Nigeria. Deborah further enhanced their skills with the completion of various online courses. In May 2021, they received the Google - Fundamentals of digital marketing certification from Google Digital Skills For Africa. Deborah also earned a Twitter Flight School Video Badge from Twitter in the same month.

More recently, Deborah Idowu obtained certifications in project management. In April 2022, they completed the Foundations of project management course on Coursera. In May 2022, they accomplished the Project Initiation: Starting a Successful Project course, and in September 2022, they finished the Project Planning: Putting It All Together course on Coursera. Their most recent certifications include the Project Execution: Running the Project course on Coursera in May 2023, as well as the Active and empathetic listening certification from Go1, also obtained in May 2023.
