Aarti Uzgare, PhD

Aarti Uzgare, PhD has a wealth of experience in the medical field. Aarti began their career in 2001 as a Research Associate-Oncology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where they conducted research on the cellular mechanisms involved in prostate cancer progression and authored 5 publications including a first-author publication that was highlighted on the front cover of Cancer Research. In 2006, they moved to Sinai Hospital of Baltimore as a Lead Scientist, leading and managing wound healing and obesity research studies in the Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Research.

In 2013, Aarti joined inVentiv Health Communications as an Associate Medical Director and Senior Medical Writer, serving as a medical lead and strategist in managed markets communications with expertise in message development, disease-state education and strategic tactics for the promotion of pharmaceutical brands in oncology and opioid/alcohol addition medicine. In 2016, they moved to Precision for Value as a Senior Medical Director and Medical Director, where they served as a medical strategist and manager with expertise in payer marketing, scientific expertise in clinical value propositions, data analyses, and strategic planning for pharmaceutical brands.

In 2019, Aarti took on the role of Medical Director at Evolution Medical Communications and in 2020, they became a Senior Medical Director at BGB Group. Currently, they serve as the VP, Scientific Services at SIMPSON Healthcare.

Aarti Uzgare, PhD completed a Postdoctoral Associate degree in Oncology and Cancer Biology at Baylor College of Medicine, followed by a PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of Houston.
