Peter Genest

Peter Genest has a diverse work experience in the fields of business development, strategic partnerships, and process engineering within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.

Peter is currently the Director of Business Development for SmartLabs since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Account Director and Business Development for Biologics Drug Substance at Catalent Pharma Solutions from September 2021 to September 2022.

Before that, they held the position of Strategic Technology Partnerships Leader at Cytiva from April 2020 to September 2021.

From 2013 to 2020, Peter worked at GE Healthcare in various roles, including Strategic Technology & Innovation Leader (January 2020 to April 2020), Director of Automation Offering and Strategy (April 2017 to January 2020), Global Operations Leader (June 2015 to April 2017), and Global Product Manager (January 2013 to June 2015).

Peter started their career at Xcellerex, a GE Healthcare Life Sciences Company, where they served as Senior Process Engineer (January 2011 to December 2012) and Sr. Field Service Engineer (July 2009 to December 2010).

Prior to that, Peter worked at Integrated Process Technologies as Senior Process Engineer (October 2008 to June 2009) and Process Engineer (September 2006 to October 2008).

Peter began their professional journey at Wyeth BioPharma as a Process Engineer in 2003.

Peter Genest attended Villanova University from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
