Michael van Nuland

Michael Van Nuland, PhD, currently serves as Lead Data Scientist at SPUN | Society for the Protection of Underground Networks since April 2022. Prior to this role, Michael was a Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford University from July 2017 to July 2022 and a Graduate Research Fellow at the National Science Foundation (NSF) from August 2013 to July 2017. Michael also gained experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville from August 2012 to July 2013. Michael completed a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, from August 2012 to July 2017, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Seattle University, obtained from August 2007 to July 2011.
