Georgia Tsagkogeorga has extensive work experience in bioinformatics. From 2018 to present, they have held the roles of Principal Scientist, Bioinformatics, Senior Bioinformatics Scientist, and Bioinformatics Scientist at STORM Therapeutics Limited and Milner Therapeutics Institute. In their role as Bioinformatics Scientist at STORM Therapeutics, they were jointly appointed with the Computational Biology Research Group at the Milner Institute, and was responsible for multi-omics data integration in order to identify, validate and prioritize novel drug targets. From 2011 to 2018, they held the roles of Postdoctoral Researcher at Queen Mary University of London. In 2010, they held the role of Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Montpellier.
Georgia Tsagkogeorga's educational history includes a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the University of Thessaly (2000-2004), a Master of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Montpellier (2005-2006), and a Doctor of Philosophy in Evolutionary Biology from the University of Montpellier (2006-2009).
