Sherri Osterlund, PHR, SHRM-CP has extensive work experience in the field of recruiting and talent acquisition. Sherri started their career as a Corporate Recruiter at Aaron Rents, Inc., handling nationwide recruitment for 95 stores. Sherri then worked as a Staffing Specialist at Certified Customized Staffing, where they facilitated pre-employment testing for volume hires in the petrochemical industry.

In 2001, Sherri joined Certified Temporary Staffing as a Senior Account Manager, responsible for identifying and recruiting administrative office personnel. Sherri also developed business opportunities through networking and targeted marketing efforts.

In 2005, Sherri joined UTMB as an Executive Recruiter, handling full-cycle executive recruitment from Director to Department Chair level. Sherri later took on additional responsibilities as an HR Business Partner, Recruitment Team Lead, and Team Lead, Executive Recruitment/Sr. HR Consultant. Sherri worked closely with hiring managers, search committee chairs, and other stakeholders to ensure compliant hiring practices and create recruitment plans and candidate materials.

Between their stints at UTMB, Sherri worked as an Executive Recruiter and Recruitment Services Manager at The University of Texas Medical Branch. Sherri then became the Director of Recruiting at TDECU, the largest credit union in Houston. Currently, Sherri is serving as a Principal at Executive Consulting Resources, providing strengths-based performance coaching for individuals, teams, and managers. Sherri focuses on leveraging strengths for career growth, team communication, and hiring "A" players.

Throughout their career, Sherri has demonstrated their expertise in recruitment, relationship management, compliance, and strategic planning. Sherri'sdiverse experience has equipped their with a well-rounded skill set in the field of human resources.

Sherri Osterlund, PHR, SHRM-CP has a diverse education and training background. Sherri obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Florida State University - College of Business from 1986 to 1990. In 2017 to 2019, Sherri attended the Professional Christian Coaching Institute where they obtained certification as a Certified Professional Leadership Coach, specializing in Executive and Leadership Coaching.

In addition to their academic education, Sherri has also earned several certifications. Sherri obtained the Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in January 2011. In April 2015, they received the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM. Sherri further enhanced their skills and knowledge by completing various online courses and obtaining certifications from LinkedIn, including "Hiring an Employee for Managers" in July 2021, "Leading at a Distance" in September 2020, and "Interviewing Techniques" in June 2020. In October 2022, they completed the "Gemba Kaizen: A Commonsense Approach to Continuous Improvement (Blinkist Summary)" course offered by LinkedIn.

Sherri also holds the Gallup Certified Strengths Coach certification from Gallup, which they acquired in January 2014. Sherri is currently in the process of obtaining the Certified Professional Leadership Coach certification from the Professional Christian Coaching Institute. Additionally, they have expressed interest in the SHRM-CP certification and SWP- Strategic Workforce Planning certification, but the completion dates for these certifications are unknown at this time.
