Shawn Sass

In Shawn’s role for Champion, Shawn manages the maintenance operations for a region of Champion’s apartment communities. He oversees a large team of maintenance technicians and works with them monthly on professional development.

In addition, he is responsible for the training and onboarding of all new maintenance technicians, as well as advanced training for more veteran technicians who are taking on further responsibilities and leadership roles.

Shawn is a point-person for the development of new maintenance policies and procedures to ensure that they are in the best interest of the entire team. He, along with Champion’s Training and Compliance Manager, lead monthly meetings for new team members to discuss topics related around company culture, and ways to succeed in one’s role.

Shawn received his Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor designation from the NAA. He also has his HVAC Certification and a Section 608 and Lead Abatement Certification from the EPA.
