Gary Byrd

Gary Byrd has a diverse and extensive work experience in various IT roles. Gary most recently worked at Thesis as an IT & Cloud Engineer, where they provided support for SAAS applications in the higher education industry. Prior to that, they worked as a System Engineer at Unit4, providing support in Azure-based networks and Microsoft 365. Gary also has experience as the owner of GB Network Assurance LLC, specializing in network security and system integration. Gary has worked as a Windows Engineer at CenturyLink, performing system changes and incident management for cloud-based customers. Earlier in their career, Gary worked as a Network Consultant at Byrne Software Technologies and as a Network Administrator/Consultant at Palm Tree Consulting, providing network support for various clients.

Gary Byrd obtained a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Excelsior University in 2005. From 1985 to 1989, they attended Saint Louis University where they minored in Political Journalism, while focusing on English and Communications. In 2006, they pursued a Graduate Certificate in Information Assurance from the University of Maryland Global Campus, completing it in 2014.

In terms of certifications, Gary Byrd obtained the MCSE certification from Microsoft in 2002.
