Yoshiko Hasumi has extensive work experience in the field of human rights and humanitarian affairs. Yoshiko has held various roles in organizations such as the United Nations Human Rights, United Nations Monitoring Mechanism for Syria, United Nations OCHA, UN Relief & Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, and United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo. Their responsibilities have included overseeing the implementation of human rights programs, managing field operations, coordinating humanitarian aid delivery, monitoring and evaluating programs, and drafting reports. Yoshiko has also worked as a financial consultant and volunteered for organizations focused on refugee issues.
Yoshiko Hasumi graduated from Seikei University in Tokyo, Japan in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with a focus on International Relations. In 1999-2000, they received a Certificate in French language from Université Stendhal Grenoble 3. In 2000, Yoshiko also earned a certificate in French language from Université catholique de l'Ouest. Finally, from 2003 to 2004, they attended the University of Leicester and obtained a Master of Laws degree in Public International Law, specializing in Human Rights.
