Jeremiah Hergott has a diverse range of work experience in the sports industry. Jeremiah began their career as an intern in Athletic Communications and Marketing & Promotions at Ferris State University in 2007. Jeremiah then went on to work as an Athletic Media Relations Assistant at the University of Michigan in 2007-2008. Hergott joined Colgate University in 2008 and held the position of Athletic Communications Assistant before being promoted to Director of Athletic Communications in 2009. In 2012, they transitioned to the University of Detroit Mercy, where they served as Director of Athletic Communications and External Affairs until 2015. From 2015 to 2018, Hergott was the Director of Athletic Marketing & Promotions at the University of Detroit Mercy. Their most recent role was within the United Shore Professional Baseball League, where they held positions of increasing responsibility, starting as the Director of Client Services in 2018, then being promoted to Vice President of Client Services in 2018-2020, and ultimately serving as the Senior Vice President of Client Services from October 2020 onwards.

Jeremiah Hergott began their education in 1995 at Washtenaw Community College, where they pursued an Advanced Certificate in Residential Design. Jeremiah attended the college until 1998. In 2004, Hergott then enrolled in Ferris State University and completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations in 2007. Later on, from 2013 to 2015, they attended Gonzaga University, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Sport & Athletic Administration.
