Senior Scientist II at Voyager Therapeutics

Yanqun Shu has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. They began their career as an Assistant Scientist at the University of Minnesota Cancer Center in 2000, where they directed toxins to target various types of cancers. They then joined Eleven Biotherapeutics in 2010 as a Senior Research Associate, contributing to projects involving IL-17 blockade and the development of cytokine production assays. In 2013, Yanqun Shu worked as a Senior Research Associate at Pronutria, conducting in vitro and in vivo assays to screen and improve products related to muscle health, GI disease, diabetes, and rare diseases. Currently, Yanqun Shu holds the position of Senior Scientist II at Voyager Therapeutics, Inc., where they have held multiple roles since 2014, including Senior Scientist I, Scientist II, Scientist I, and Senior Research Associate.

Yanqun Shu pursued their undergraduate degree in Biology at Xiamen University from 1992 to 1996. Yanqun then furthered their education and obtained a master's degree in Molecular Biology and Genetic Development from the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College between 1996 and 1999.
