Karen Fischer has a diverse work experience in the field of education and mental health. Karen started working as a Director of Student Health at Wisconsin Lutheran College in 2006 and held this position until 2017. In 2013, they became a Behavioral Health Therapist at Aurora Psychiatric Hospital, where they worked until 2019. During this time, they also took on the role of Program Manager at WLCFS-Christian Family Solutions from 2019 to the present. In addition, they joined Wisconsin Lutheran College as an Adjunct Professor in 2021 and Concordia University Irvine as an Adjunct Professor in 2023. Currently, Karen Fischer is the Director of Education and Professional Development at WLCFS-Christian Family Solutions.

Karen Fischer is currently a Candidate-Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Counselor Education and Supervision at Concordia University Irvine. Karen previously obtained a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Professional counseling from Concordia University-Wisconsin. Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wisconsin Lutheran College.
