Candace Karlin

Candace Karlin is an experienced operations leader with a diverse background in non-profit management and community engagement. Currently serving as the Director of Operations at City Year since November 2022, Candace has previously held roles such as Retail Sales Lead at REI and Director of Civic Engagement Program at City Year Chicago, where strategic initiatives led to significant community impact and volunteer involvement. Candace's early career includes working as an Election Judge for Arapahoe County and an Enumerator for the U.S. Census Bureau, demonstrating a strong commitment to civic participation. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from Colorado State University, Candace also brings experience in logistics and facilitation from roles at the Center for Public Deliberation and Surfing the Nations.
