Judith Huismans

Judith Huismans has had extensive work experience in various roles in the fields of research, sales, marketing, and project management.

Judith is currently working as the Head of China Research at Datenna, a leading provider of science, innovation, and industry data with a focus on China. In this role, they use data platforms and research intelligence to provide customers with unique data-driven insights on the Chinese industry.

Prior to their current position, Judith worked as a Sales Associate Asia at REDD Intelligence, where they provided real-time news and analytics on emerging market companies. Judith focused on high yield, distressed, and special situations in Asia, LatAm, and CEEMEA.

Before that, Judith served as the Marketing and Communication Manager at the Dutch Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. Judith was responsible for organizing corporate events and coordinating publications such as business magazines and directories.

Earlier in their career, Judith worked as an Intern at China Inroads, where they conducted market research on energy and environmental technology in Europe for a Chinese client and wrote publications on Chinese policy related to the environment and innovation.

Judith also gained experience as a Project Officer in the Economic Department of the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Guangzhou. In this role, they organized events and supported trade and investment promotion between Dutch and Chinese organizations.

Judith Huismans completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Political Science and Government at the University of Amsterdam from 2010 to 2014. In 2013, they also had a brief study abroad experience at Baruch College, where they studied Political Science.

Following their undergraduate studies, Judith pursued a premaster program in International Economic Studies at Utrecht University from 2014 to 2015. Judith then continued their education at the University of Amsterdam and obtained a Master's Degree in International Relations from 2015 to 2016.

During their academic journey, Judith further expanded their knowledge by undertaking an Advanced Mandarin course at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2018. Judith also obtained certifications in HSK 4 (obtained in February 2018) and IELTS - Band 8 (obtained in October 2013).
