Joost Verberk

Joost Verberk has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Joost is currently the Director of Product Management at EFFECT Photonics, where they align engineering efforts with business targets and bridges the gap between R&D and market-driven requirements.

In addition, Joost is a Limited Partner at caesar., where they provide capital for investments in promising tech ventures in DeepTech, HealthTech, GreenTech, and FinTech.

Joost is also involved with TEDxEindhoven as a volunteer program team member, responsible for organizing the annual TEDx Main Event in Eindhoven.

Prior to their current roles, Joost worked at Cofely NV Nederland as a Product Manager, responsible for a Software-as-a-Service solution, and also participated in a management traineeship program.

Earlier in their career, they were a Researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology, working on the European research project E-Price for the EU energy market. Joost also completed an internship at the University of Newcastle, Australia, where they worked on developing an automatic videomosaicking method for nail fold capillaroscopy.

Joost Verberk's education history is as follows:

- From 2021 to 2023, Joost attended Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA and earned an Executive MBA degree in Business Administration and Management, General.

- From 2002 to 2010, Joost attended Eindhoven University of Technology and obtained an MSc. degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering.

- In 2015, Joost participated in a Young Talent Program at Scenter.

- In the same year, Joost also completed a course titled "Process Mining: data science in action" at Eindhoven University of Technology.

- In 2014, Joost completed a finance course called "Finance for Non-Financial Managers" at GDF SUEZ University.

- From 2012 to 2013, Joost underwent a Management Trainee program at Cofely GDF SUEZ, focusing on Management Development.

- Joost attended Elzendaal College (Boxmeer) from 1996 to 2002 and earned an Atheneum degree with a specialization in Physics & Engineering.

- In November 2012, Joost became certified as a BREAAM-NL Nieuwbouw Expert by the Dutch Green Building Council.
