Philippe Barril

Philippe Barril has extensive experience in the marine and offshore contracting industry. Philippe currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Heerema Marine Contractors since August 2022. Prior to this, they held various positions at SBM Offshore, including Chief Transition Officer from April 2022 to August 2022, and Chief Operating Officer from March 2015 to April 2022. Philippe also served as a Member of the Board of Directors at McDermott International Inc. from September 2017 to June 2020. Philippe has held senior executive roles at Technip, including President and COO, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and Senior Vice President. Philippe was also the CEO of Africa Med at Technip and worked as the Manager at SBM Offshore. Earlier in their career, Philippe held managerial positions at Entrepose Contracting and Bouygues Offshore, where they gained experience as an engineer, project manager, country manager, and Senior Vice President for Africa.

Philippe Barril earned a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Ecole centrale de Lyon from 1985 to 1988. In 2018, they completed the Compliance Academy program at the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law.
