Dongyun Shin

Dongyun Shin is an accomplished research engineer with extensive experience in fluid systems and spray technology. Currently employed at PARC, Dongyun has designed and developed high/medium-pressure fluid systems and an electrospray system. Prior to this role, Dongyun held research engineer and research assistant positions at Purdue University, focusing on spray characteristics of alternative aviation fuels and contributing to the design of high-pressure spray test rigs. Additionally, at Virginia Tech, Dongyun developed a hybrid laser flare reduction technique as part of the GE Power & Water project. In a competitive setting, Dongyun served as mechanical design team leader for a planetary rover design competition at NASA Johnson Space Center. Dongyun's academic credentials include a PhD and MS in Aerospace Engineering from Purdue University, along with a Bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech.
