Kevin Chu

Kevin Chu has a diverse work experience in the fields of engineering and robotics. Kevin is currently working as an Engineer at Mendaera, Inc. starting from May 2021. Before that, Kevin held multiple positions at Cruise, starting as a Software Engineer from August 2014 to January 2016. Kevin then became the Director of Autonomous Vehicle Engineering and Robotics from January 2016 to June 2022. Prior to Cruise, Kevin worked as a Robotics Engineer at QBotix from July 2012 to August 2014. Kevin also gained experience in Controls Engineering at Western Digital from January 2010 to July 2012. Earlier in their career, Kevin worked as a Researcher at UCLA from an unknown start date to December 2011 and as a Lecturer from January 2012 to June 2012.

Kevin Chu completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College between 2001 and 2005. Kevin then pursued higher education and obtained a PhD in Mechanical Engineering specializing in Controls from UCLA, spanning six years from 2005 to 2011.
