Charles Achampong has a diverse work experience spanning various sectors and roles. Charles is currently working at Mitacs as the VP of International Partnerships since November 2021. Prior to that, they had a tenure at Scotiabank, where they served as the Director of Community Partnerships from June 2020 to October 2021, and as the Director of Academic Partnership Engagement from January 2017 to May 2020. Before joining Scotiabank, Charles was a Professor at Seneca College, Faculty of Business, where they taught at the School of Global Business Management from December 2014 to December 2016. Charles also worked as the Executive Lead of Partnerships at the Ontario Trillium Foundation from August 2013 to March 2016. Charles's earlier experiences include managerial roles at organizations such as the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council, the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the BC Olympic and Paralympic Secretariat, the Uganda Human Rights Commission, and the International Development Research Centre. As a result, Charles brings a wealth of experience in partnership management, academic engagement, teaching, and business analysis.

Charles Achampong has pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree in Management Information Systems at the University of Ottawa. Additionally, they have pursued an MBA in International Business at Simon Fraser University.
