Scientist I at Mogrify

Emily Graves has a diverse range of work experience in various fields. Emily began their career as a Wellcome Trust Summer student at the University of York, where they conducted research on the MECP2 protein in Rett syndrome. Emily then worked as a Research Assistant in an ecological survey in Cuba with Operation Wallacea and the University of Havana, which involved tasks such as manatee surveys and catching invasive species.

Emily also served as a Bartender at FUEL HOSPITALITY LIMITED before transitioning to a role as a preLighter at preLights for The Company of Biologists. Emily then took on the position of Scholar's Programme Tutor at The Brilliant Club, where they designed and taught a course on Neurodegeneration.

Emily joined OBRIZUM as an Ambassador and Course Organisation Team Member, where they assisted in selling and organizing training courses. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they played a key role in transitioning these courses online. Emily later joined The University of Sheffield as a MRC DiMeN PhD student, conducting research on motor neuron diseases.

Recently, Emily worked at OBRIZUM again as an Onboarding Specialist before joining Mogrify as a Scientist I. Their work at Mogrify includes undisclosed responsibilities and is ongoing.

Emily Graves has a strong educational background in the field of neuroscience. Emily pursued their doctoral studies at The University of Sheffield from 2017 to 2022, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Neuroscience. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Neuroscience at King's College London from 2016 to 2017. Their undergraduate education was at the University of York, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biology with Honors between 2013 and 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Emily Graves has also obtained a certification as a BioTechnology YES alumni in 2018 from the University of Nottingham.
