Bob Glied

Bob Glied has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Bob started their career as a Project Engineer Intern at Shell Exploration & Production Co. in 2005. Bob then worked as an Engineering Support Co-op at DTE Energy in 2006. In the same year, they also had an internship as a Manufacturing Engineer at Procter & Gamble.

Bob Glied continued to gain experience in the manufacturing industry, working at Dow Chemical from 2007 to 2013. During their time there, they held roles such as R&D/Manufacturing Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Project Manufacturing Representative, and Senior Manufacturing/Process Safety Engineer.

In 2013, Bob Glied joined McKinsey & Company as a Senior Business Analyst/Senior Associate in the Operations Practice. Bob later became a Senior Engagement Manager, leading engagements in strategy, digital, manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement across multiple industries.

In 2019, Bob Glied transitioned to the role of Vice President of Business Transformation at Platinum Equity, where they worked on identifying and executing a playbook of value creation opportunities within portfolio companies. Bob also held the position of Senior Vice President Operations at Yak Access, where they led a business transformation of their Research and Development function.

In 2021, Bob Glied became the President of BluRoc, a business unit of Yak Access that supports infrastructure maintenance and build-out.

Most recently, in 2022, Bob Glied joined Platinum Equity as the Vice President of Portfolio Operations.

Throughout their career, Bob Glied has demonstrated expertise in operational transformations, strategy development, supply chain optimization, and business transformation initiatives.

Bob Glied has a strong education background in Chemical Engineering. Bob earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (BSE) from the University of Michigan in 2006, followed by a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering (MSE) from the same university in 2007. Prior to their college education, Bob attended Anchor Bay High School from 1998 to 2002. Additionally, Bob has obtained several certifications, including OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry Safety Certification from CareerSafe Online in 2021, an Open Water Diver certification from PADI in 2019, and a Security Clearance - Secret from the United States Department of Defense in 2014. Bob has also obtained a Six Sigma Green Belt Project Leader certification, although the institution and specific dates are not provided.
