Jonathon Grech

Jonathon Grech has a strong background in the hospitality industry, with experience in legal, compliance, and corporate governance roles. Jonathon currently serves as the Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary at Selina Hospitality, where they oversee the legal, compliance, and ESG teams. Additionally, they serve as the secretary to the Board of Directors and handles corporate governance, capital markets, dispute resolution, and intellectual property matters. Prior to this, they were the SVP, Group General Counsel & Company Secretary at Millennium Hotels and Resorts, where they led a global team and advised directors and senior executives on legal and non-legal matters. Jonathon also served as the Chairman of the Millennium & Copthorne Pension Plan trustee. Jonathon's experience also includes roles at InterContinental Hotels Group as a Senior Development Counsel and Attorney, as well as at Bryan Cave (formerly Powell Goldstein LLP) as an Associate Attorney. Jonathon began their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as a Consultant.

Jonathon Grech received their J.D. degree in Law from Emory University School of Law from 2001 to 2004. Before that, they earned their B.A. degree in Economics and Organizational Studies from the University of Michigan from 1996 to 2000. Jonathon completed their high school education at Malvern Preparatory School from 1992 to 1996. In terms of additional certifications, they became a Solicitor in England and Wales, certified by the Solicitors Regulation Authority in 2012. Additionally, they obtained Attorney certifications in the states of Illinois and Georgia in 2005 and 2004, respectively.
