Jeremy Bartosiak-Jentys

Jeremy Bartosiak-Jentys has a strong background in biotechnology research and development. Jeremy currently holds the position of Chief Scientific Officer at The Supplant Company, where they are responsible for guiding research activity and developing new ingredients in the field of plant fibre derived sugar production. Jeremy's experience also includes a position as the Head of Research Impact & Commercialisation at the University of Bath, where they oversaw a team focused on developing relationships between industry partners and academics. Jeremy was responsible for protecting and licensing the university's intellectual property for R&D activities, commercialization, and collaborations with external partners and startups.

At ZuvaSyntha Ltd., Jeremy served as a Research Manager, overseeing a team of scientists conducting proprietary and contract research in metabolic engineering of microorganisms for industrial biotechnology applications. Jeremy also secured and managed competitive grant funding and projects.

Earlier in their career, Jeremy worked as a Senior Biochemist at the Centre for Process Innovation Limited, where they contributed their expertise in bioprocessing. Jeremy Bartosiak-Jentys began their education by attending the University of Oxford from 2000 to 2004. During this time, they pursued a degree in Biochemistry and obtained an MBioch. In 2005, they moved on to King's College London where they earned an MSc in Molecular Life Sciences Research, completing their studies in 2006. Jeremy then enrolled in Imperial College London, where they dedicated himself to research, earning a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2010.
