Iman Shah

Law Graduate, Criminal Defense Practice at The Bronx Defenders

Iman Shah (he/him/his) earned his J.D. from Berkeley School of Law. While in law school, Iman worked as a law clerk at the Transgender, Gender-variant, and Intersex Justice Project in San Francisco providing support to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated community members. He was also a board member of the East Bay Community Law Center, where he worked in the Clean Slate Clinic providing direct services to people experiencing homelessness; served as the Co-Director of the Name and Gender Change Workshop at Berkeley Law; worked as a clinic counselor in Legal Aid at Work's Workers’ Rights Clinic; worked in the Housing Clinic of Manhattan Legal Services; and represented undocumented people in asylum proceedings at Oasis Legal Services. Iman holds a Bachelor’s in Journalism and Gender Studies at University of Texas at Austin.
