Jalen D. Porter (he/him/his) earned his J.D. from Rutgers University Law School, where he served as Vice President of the Association of Black Law Students (ABLS) and staff editor with the Rutgers University Law Review. While in law school, Jalen externed at the Prisoner Litigation Office for the U.S. District of New Jersey, and participated in the Criminal and Youth Justice Clinic and the International Human Rights Clinic. Additionally, he served as a Sullivan Defender Fellow for the Rutgers Center on Criminal Justice, Youth Rights, and Race, and as a Fellow for The Inclusion Project at Rutgers University. He spent his summers working as a Research Assistant and interning with the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) as an Ella Baker Intern. Jalen holds a Bachelor's in Political Science and Justice Studies from Arizona State University.
